Helping Young Adults Enjoy Greater Freedom

Beechwood House is a learning disability care home for young adults who have learning disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) or require complex care. We offer a highly professional person-centred residential care service, communicating closely with residents and their family to produce personalised care plans that are shaped around the needs of each individual. From limited daily support with routine activities to round-the-clock specialist care, our team provides the necessary assistance required for residents to live a richer, more autonomous life. We are also looking for staff members who have a passion for helping residents take greater control of their lives through the delivery of expert personalised residential care.

So, if you are looking for a learning disability care home that puts resident needs at the centre of what it does, get in touch with Beechwood House.

Our Vision

Care, comfort, compassion and credibility exists at the heart of what we provide at our learning disability care home. We want to create a space in which residents are free to access as little or as much residential care as they need. Beechwood House, the site of our learning disability care home, is a beautiful building originally constructed in 1887, sitting a few miles from the beautiful Peak District National Park. The combination of this peaceful setting and our emphasis on a person-centred and continually evolving residential care plan is designed to make residents feel truly at home in an informal, happy and engaging environment where they can make choices that suit their specific needs.

Our Policies

The central policy of our learning disability care home is, of course, to provide an impeccable standard of person-centred care as dictated by the wishes of residents and their family. Beyond that, however, we believe in a strong policy of tolerance for all beliefs and cultures. It is important that every resident feels safe and welcome in our learning disability care home. Discriminatory language of any kind is therefore strictly prohibited. We provide people with the space and resources they need to practice their religion and exercise their personal beliefs.
